BERDINE is een slow design studio die gebaseerd is op een duidelijke idee: goed design moet lang meegaan. Elk stuk is zorgvuldig ontworpen en met de hand gemaakt, met natuurlijke materialen zoals hoogwaardig leer en wolvilt. Niet alleen omdat ze er goed uitzien, maar ook omdat ze wear in – not out<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Tijdloos design staat centraal. Geen seizoenscollecties. Geen overproductie. Alleen functionele objecten met karakter, gemaakt om te gebruiken en te koesteren. En uiteindelijk de moeite waard zijn om te repareren.<\/p>\n

Het idee voor dit merk ontstond tijdens de modeopleiding, waar ik fast fashion in twijfel trok en me op minimalisme ging richten. Mijn afstudeerproject plantte het zaadje. Een paar jaar later zette ik dat idee om in een studio - eerst op een kleine zolder, nu iets groters. Nog steeds gewoon mezelf, bezig met wat ik het liefste doe: eerlijke, goed gemaakte producten cre\u00ebren in kleine oplages.<\/p>\n

Alles wat ik maak, is ontworpen met intentie en een beetje soul. Voor mensen die geven om wat ze in hun leven brengen.<\/p>\n

The design is timeless and functional. The felt is durable, indestructible, and has a lovely, natural vibe. You’ll obviously pay a bit more than for a polyester factory sleeve, though ultimately, that’s debatable: the Berdine sleeve will undoubtedly last a lifetime and never goes out of style. The design is truly minimalism comme il faut: form follows function, but that form is also very beautiful. The ordering and handling process were exemplary. Fast and correct. The handwritten note in my package was a very nice, personal touch.
